It is crucial for your child’s
learning that their attendance is regular, this includes arriving at school on
time ready to learn. The learning that occurs every day in
classrooms across the school contributes to your child’s success and
opportunities. Please support them to reach their potential by sending them to
school every day, on time and ready to learn.
Every day attendance is
tracked, both by admin and in the classrooms. Students all have a personal
attendance goal that is tracked in their classroom using their classroom “Attendance
Rocket”. Admin prioritise students and families that may need further support
to increase attendance and home visits are a regular occurrence. If you have
concerns around your child’s learning or attendance, please make a time to meet
with our very supportive teachers.
If your child is absent
for any reason please ring the school on our student absence line 3372 0760 and
provide their name and the reason for their absence. The school also uses a SMS
messaging service to send out absence notifications each morning to alert
parents of their child’s absence and late arrival. Please respond to this text
with a reason for their absence. To guarantee this system can effectively alert
parents of absences, lateness and urgent messages please ensure your contact details are up to date.
Late Arrivals
Students that arrive to
school after 9.00am are required to
come to the administration building to collect a late arrival slip to give to
the classroom teacher. If a parent hasn’t brought the child to the office or
rung and advised for a reason for the late arrival, parents will receive a text
message asking for a reason, please ensure you respond to this text. Please
limit the amount of times your child arrives late, to ensure they do not miss
out on learning time.
